STAT POOLS
In this system, races are divided into three categories based on how naturally gifted they are. Each one has its own unique stat pools in order to balance them out and vary their styles of play. That said, not all races are created equal, and the more powerful the race you want to become, the more expensive it will be.
Impuissant races- 1000 Pages:
These races are the below average bread and butter of the multiverse. Creatures with no hidden potentials or special disposition for any abilities. Humans, Kemonomimi, Horse Furry, any race that isn't born with a superpower or supernatural advantage.
Impuissant Stat Pools- You receive 315 points to spend across all of your stats in increments of ten, so you have plenty of points to distribute.
You must have at least 4 Average/1 Weak/2 Strong stat caps
Weak - 10-20
Average - 25 - 70
Strong - 50 - 100
This means that races under this category will have 4 Stat caps between 25-70, 1 that is 10-20, and 2 that are 50-100. This pattern follows for every other race category with their stat pool patterns.
Significant races- 10,000 PAges:
Significant races are those that are born with a predisposition for powerful abilities, and may use them in their day to day lives. Races like Saiyans, Vampires, Selkies etc.
Significant Stat Pools – Because these races are so naturally predisposed to developing specific skills through lifestyle or environment, they have less time to focus on average stat growth. These races will have a much easier time honing their skills than impuissant races, and therefore won't need to rely strictly on raw numbers. you have 210 points to spend in increments of five.
3 Average / 2 Weak / 2 Strong
Weak: 1-35
Average: 25-50
Strong: 30-80
Dominant races- 100,000 Pages:
These races are creatures that are born or created with vast amounts of potential, often following a core purpose or theme. Majin, Genies, Incubators, Dragons, and other creatures of the sort.
Stat Pool Average - Beings in this range have weak attributes. They simply don't need them, often possessing powers with the supernatural tag. This allows even low rolls to automatically be incredibly effective outside of combat. However, as their abilities come so naturally, they possess slightly more points than Significant, and still possess the single highest stat cap of all races in their single Strong stat. That comes with a danger however- Beings with that much potential are usually super unstable as a result. You're pushing natural talent and specialization to it's absolute limit.
Dominant Stat Pools - You receive 231 points to spend. These are to be spent in increments of 10, until the very last point which is allowed to be spent on it's own in any stat of your choosing.
4 Average/ 2 Weak / 1 Strong
Average - 20 - 40
Weak - 0 - 15
Strong - 35-150
How do stat pools work?
In short, a "stat pool" is the pattern your race will follow to determine its stat caps. These values represent the maximum number of racial points you can put into each stat, fully excluding external methods of stat gain, such as class points. For example, if your stat cap for Deftness is 15, then once you have invested 15 race points into Deftness, you will no longer be able to do so.
In very rare instances there may be ways for you to increase these caps, but they should be viewed more as a bonus than as something to be relied upon or worked towards.
RACIAL POINTS
Racial development is managed through racial points, and you earn 3 of these every time you level up. These points can be used for one of three things:
Stat Investment-- Racial points can be invested as stat points on a 1:1 ratio. The amount you can invest in each stat is determined by your race's stat pool.
Racial Skill Slot- In exchange for 5 racial points, you can unlock a new racial skill slot. While you are always able to try and use your race's natural abilities, unless it's an ability you've learned permanently you will have to roll a performance check. Slotting racial skills also allows you to slowly master them, which is otherwise impossible. Additionally, you receive a free racial skill slot every 5 levels.
True Racial Skill Slot- This one's the haymaker. In exchange for 30 racial points, you gain a very unique racial skill slot for your "true racial". Depending on your race, the ability itself may already be something you know of such as a Super Saiyan form, or a digimon's ability to hit Super ultimate. Others could come with nothing but a vague hint to guide you on your way. Regardless of any prior knowledge, the ability itself will take time to hone, but will be incredibly beneficial once that hard work pays off.
