Alignment: Neutral Good
Height: 5’07”
Weight: 115lbs
Date of Birth: October 5th
Personality:
Ryota is timid and meek, and sort of has no backbone. The first thing anyone will notice… or not notice about him is that he’s quiet, appears reserved and much prefers to keep to himself. He chooses not to engage with other people, and instead drowns himself in his hobbies, though it seems like he has trouble talking to people at all. He’s very shy and tends to become anxious when faced with interaction.
He is very passionate about his hobbies, which mostly includes gaming, and he tries to use them as coping mechanisms for his problems. Escapism is his go-to solution for most of his issues, anyway. He has a lot of issues, in fact. Applying game logic to real world scenarios doesn’t really help him, though, so this poor coping mechanism contributes to his already low self-esteem in a sort of self destructive cycle.
When it comes to real-world scenarios, you could say that Ryota’s ability to solve problems with logical solutions is… stunted. In other words, you wouldn’t call him the sharpest tool in the shed. While he might not be dumb as a brick, he’s definitely not smart either. His ideas are almost always bad, and he’s always waiting for someone to explain stuff to him. It seems like video game logic is the only thing that comes naturally to him. He is very likely to be surprised by plot twists, because he never saw them coming. Yeah, even the obvious ones.
Despite all of this, he has a lot of heart and yearns for real friends even if he doesn’t have the courage to approach people himself. He’s true to himself, even if his true self is disorganized and anxious. He tries hard not to cling to people he’s formed an attachment to, out of fear of pushing them away with his oddities.

Talents & Skills:
Drawing - While he is not good at much else, Ryota is at least somewhat good with his hands. He likes to draw every now and again as a form of self expression, often drawing his favorite monsters from the games they are featured in. He has worked a long time to hone this skill, and he’s getting pretty good at it.

[PTab=History]
Ryota was a relatively normal kid living a relatively normal life. He was born to two loving parents as an only child.
He grew up in a nice neighborhood and was relatively outgoing. He got along relatively well with his classmates until middle school, where things got a little dicey with another student when he unwittingly spoke very rudely to a rather popular senior student. Though he asserted that he was just trying to stand up for a friend, he was ostracized by his classmates and relentlessly bullied for having been mean in that moment.
Ryota became increasingly more reclusive, and his parents were deeply worried about his well-being. He began to drown himself in all sorts of media, though he gravitated more towards games he had been playing. The family moved to another part of Tokyo and he was quickly transferred to a new school where he could start fresh - and he did. But by that point he was so afraid of interacting with others that he only interacted with his games and anime. Things continued to stay like this until one fateful day, where him and several other students from his school were contacted by a small mysterious dragon creature called Shidora, and given powers via a mark branded on their soul - the sigils. It was in this moment that the four of them discovered that the world was regularly shifting between two versions of reality, the normal world and a hellish shifted dimension influenced by the slivers of a universe eater that had attached itself to their universe. All normal people were incapable of experiencing this shift, so it was up to the four kids to fight the nightmare spawn monsters that tried to break through to their reality.
