Fractured Soul
You are a being of split souls; though you have two bodies, together you are whole as one. This fractured existence has kept you company in your darkest years, and may have saved your life. As a being with two bodies and one mind, your existence comes with peculiar strengths and terrifying weaknesses.
-You are two bodies in one soul. Your mind is inhabited by Dubdub the Kobold, and your body is Ayme the elemental. Consciousness is shared, and each is aware of the other's senses at all times. If DubDub dies, Ayme perishes shortly after, as the body cannot survive without the mind. If Ayme is destroyed, DubDub suffers immense mental trauma, but is capable of reconstructing his body over a one week period without rest.
-Stats are the essence of your soul, and have been fractured much the same. Ayme and DubDub share a stat pool; DubDub has the essence of your mind; he treats his Intelligence, Perspicacity, and Appeal as 1x their value. Consequently, he treats his Robustness, Deftness, and Vitality as 0.5x their value, rounding down. Ayme has the essence of your body, and has the reverse of this effect.
-As a creature of one mind and two bodies, initiative can only be rolled with DubDub's Perspicacity; both Dubdub and Ayme have separate interchangeable turns; only one may take a main action at a time.
-As the distance between both bodies grows, the soul weakens. For every 100 feet of distance between Dubdub and Ayme, all stats are decreased by 1. If any stat other than Luck is reduced to 0 by this effect, both bodies begin to sieze up and - if not reunited by external means - Dubdub and Ayme will both die. This death takes a number of minutes equal to the default value of the first stat reduced to 0 by this effect.
-As both bodies share the same soul, plenty of magic works adversely on Ayme and DubDub. All spells that target the soul of either of the pair affect both, for better or for worse. Having a shared soul comes with a horrific feedback loop. Any damage one body takes is mirrored on the other at 50% severity.
THE PATH OF UNEDITED STORY TELLING
Upon receiving of this mark on their story the receiver is reset to level 0, and blocked off from any of The Archive's systems that work by editing one's personal story.
-This means the user can not get any classes normally
-This means the user's starting universals will not level up through traditional means
-This means the user will not receive racial points.
-This means that the user will not be brought back to life by Archive resources if they die while on a mission.
In Exchange for these detriments The Path of Unedited Story Telling's members were forced to also give two benefits with the mark
-The User gets to spend 35 points on STATS instead of the usual 15 at the start. (If this is taken after having already started then they get to redistribute the 15 points already spent.)
-The User will find that their actions result in personal growth at a rate slightly faster then normal.
Makeshift Parachuter!
You had to think quickly on your feet to avoid a very nasty fall that could have put you in a full body cast! Luckily you had the items on hand to properly create a parachute substitute! - Gain +2 to rolls involving the making, and usage of Makeshift Parachutes!
