Tier 1
Switch the Script - The incantations and magic words used for a lot of spells are very, VERY important. Let's fuck with it a bit. Once per day, you can change a single letter in the name of one of your spells. This new spell's effect will be determined by your DM (For example, Turn Undead could become Burn Undead, a spell that sets all undead in battle on fire).
Sans Serif - Your script's lack of a serif makes you smart. You gain a +X to Intelligence, where X is equal to your tiers in this class.
Tier 2
Live Editor - One of your teammates just say something really dumb? Did you just say something really dumb? Fortunately, you now have a solution. Once per encounter, declare you're using this ability right after (Relatively speaking. You can't retcon an hour of conversation but you also don't need to be immediately on the draw. You have some leeway for when to declare this) a sentence is spoken by any target you are within earshot of. You can completely change the content of what they said, as long as it was not a spell of some sort. This new edited sentence will be what everyone heard.
CUT! - I don't like this script. Can I see the writer please? I have some notes. Step one - throw it in the garbage. You can completely erase all text in or on a non-magical item (Book, computer, etc) as a simple action. If the item is enchanted, you must roll intelligence versus the intelligence of the item's original enchanter.
Tier 3
Stranger than Fiction - You now possess a very fancy notebook! It's not a Death Note. Whatever you write on one of the pages will happen to that piece of paper after it is torn out and thrown at a target. You can only use very simplistic verbs at this point. For example, you can write "Burn" on a piece of paper, rip it out, and throw a burning piece of paper! Do the same thing with the word "Shock"! This ability is very much up to your imagination and ingenuity as to how useful it will be. The more complex the verb, the more mana this will consume. Your notebook has a functionally infinite number of pages. Almost all effects will be based on intelligence.
Fast Reader - You're what they call a "voracious" reader. You are able to absorb the contents of an entire written text by maintaining physical contact for at least 10 seconds.
Tier 4
Switch the Script (Bonus) - Variety is the spice of life, and why should you be the only one to enjoy that spice? This original ability now can be against any target in this encounter, willing or not. If used against an unwilling target, roll intelligence versus the stat they are using to cast that spell. The mana for this new spell will come from YOU however, and not the target. For example, if an enemy is casting "Fear", change it to "Bear" to make it summon a hungry bear next to the caster instead!
Literacy - You write good. You are able to read and write any written language, even if The Archive's Universal Translator doesn't work on it. You can't speak it though.
Literacy - You write good. You are able to read and write any written language, even if The Archive's Universal Translator doesn't work on it. You can't speak it though.
Tier 5
Skip the Script (Unique) - Language and communication are one of those things that you really take for granted until its gone. So let's make some people really appreciate some things. Once per day, you can attempt to inflict a complete inability to comprehend ANY language, verbal, written, signed, etc to up to five targets based on intelligence versus the target's perspicacity. This effect lasts for 1d2 turns (in combat) or 2 minutes (out of combat). Neutralize a spellcaster's ability to cast spells, completely breakdown the enemy's ability to communicate, allow you and your team to plan right in the enemy's face! The possibilities are endless!
Serif - Your script's possession of a serif makes you wise. You gain +X/2 to perspicacity, where X is equal to your tiers in this class. Rounds down.
Tier 6
Stream of Consciousness Writing - Some people swear by it, while others prefer to actually use pens and papers. Those people are SUCKERS. You are now able to magically manipulate and generate text based on intelligence. This will allow you to move around the words on a written piece of paper as well as write without needing materials or even your hands! Useful if your hands are bound and you still need to use your Stranger Than Fiction book, for example.
Tier 7
Switch the Script (Bonus) - Sometimes the best thing you can do when editing is to just scrap the whole damn thing. Once per encounter, attempt to counter-spell a target spell based on intelligence. This can be used as an instant interrupt.
Tier 8
Stranger Than Fiction (Bonus) - Words words words. Your Stranger Than Fiction book is now capable of utilizing slightly more complicated phrases and non-proper nouns! You can write up to two words, such as "Burn Wood" or "Float Up" to give some more specificity to your commands.
Tier 9
Off Book - Today... I shoot without a script. Once per day, you may throw your Stranger Than Fiction book at a target based on intelligence (you're commanding the throw to actually land with your magic, don't think about it - just be glad it isn't deftness). As long as the book makes contact with the target, even if they tanked it, roll luck. A random explosive effect will occur based on intelligence! With a high luck roll, the effect can be something incredibly efficacious for the current situation! Even with a low luck roll, the effect won't backfire against you - it just won't be as strong as it could've been. Whatever the effect, your book will survive - you'll just have to go and pick it back up.
Tier 10
Skip the Script (Unique Bonus) - Shut 'em all up. This is your show. The effect of this spell now affects all targets of your choice within 100 feet and has been changed to a once per encounter effect.
Comic Sans - Your script's lack of class, dignity, or aesthetic presence means you'll need a lot of goddamn luck to get anyone to look at it. You gain +X/4 to luck, where X is equal to your tiers in this class. Rounds down.
