MOON THIEF
[PREREQUISITE | YOU MUST HAVE STOLEN AT LEAST ONE MOON TO TAKE THIS CLASS]
[PREREQUISITE | YOU MUST HAVE STOLEN AT LEAST ONE MOON TO TAKE THIS CLASS]
Yippee ki yay, you lunar cowboy. This is simultaneously the best and worst class in the game.
Tier 1
Lunar Fence - We all know the hardest part about stealing a moon - who are you gonna sell it to? There aren't exactly buyers everywhere! Fortunately for you, we've got you covered. After you successfully steal a moon and return to base with it, roll luck to find a buyer. Things that will affect the price for the moon include size, shape, color, and whether it's been built on.
Lunacy Badge - A badge marking you as an official member of The Moon Thieves Guild of The Multiverse. It's ok to wear it in public because technically it doesn't say anywhere in the law books that you CAN'T steal a moon. You gain +X to deftness, where X is equal to your number of tiers in this class.
Tier 2
Luna-portation - OK, leaving orbit and getting to a moon is hard. Either that or NASA is just super fucking lazy. One of the two. This'll make that a little easier. Once per day, mission, or bounty, you may teleport to the nearest moon to your current position. This may NOT be used during combat. It should be noted that if used during a mission, you may receive demerits for abandoning your mission. But you're a moon outlaw now, what do you care? This succeeds automatically unless contested, in which case it is based on deftness.
Lunar Survival - OK, this is probably why you should care. As any sane person will tell you, moons be dangerous. There are many reasons for this, including a lack of atmosphere, low gravity, freezing temperatures, moon rocks that will literally rip up your lungs, and a huge wealth gap between the rich and the poor leading to an increase in crime. You are now able to survive on the moon despite any dangers posed by the moon itself, even without a space suit.
Tier 3
Lunar Combatant - You try your best to be sneaky while... stealing a moon, but sometimes combat is inevitable. You gain advantage in combat versus any rolls fighting against lunar-based enemies.
Lunar Empowerment - This is not strictly related to moon thievery, but useful nonetheless. What's that? You literally only care about stealing moons, it's the only thing that gives you any kind of pleasure anymore because you're dead inside? Well just don't use this ability I guess. While you are bathed in moonlight, you may use a main action to empower the next action you take. This includes if you are literally on the surface of a moon, to answer a question that will come up at some point assuredly.
Tier 4
Lunar Fence (Bonus) - You think that you should be paid top dollar for every moon you steal, and then some more dollars on top of that. You may now attempt to haggle with your lunar fences for a better price. Unless your haggling fails CATASTROPHICALLY, the price will not go below the starting price.
Lunar Wallet - Where the fuck do you even put a moon? Well you know now! Once you've successfully stolen a moon (meaning you are no longer being actively pursued for said thievery and it has been removed from its original orbit), as long as you are still in contact with said moon at the end of the mission it will be placed in your lunar wallet for safekeeping until it's time to sell. You can currently only keep one moon at a time in this.
Tier 5
Lunar Thievery (Unique) - Here's the big one. Once per day, mission, or bounty, begin channeling a spell to teleport a moon directly into your lunar wallet based on deftness. This will take several turns of active channeling, the additive DC that must be reached depending on the size of the moon. You must not be interrupted at any time while casting this or the spell is immediately cancelled.
Lunacy Badge (Bonus) - You gotta be a smooth talker to ease your way past the space cops with an entire moon in your pocket. You gain a +X/2 to appeal, where X is your tiers in this class. Rounds down.
Tier 6
Lunar Wallet (Bonus) - Why do you gotta sell every moon you find? Maybe sometimes... this moon is for daddy . You will gain an ability for every moon in your moon wallet depending on where the moon is stolen from. The moment the moon is removed, you lose this ability immediately. In addition, you may now hold a second moon in your wallet.
Tier 7
Lunar Fence (Bonus) - Money is great, but you know what's better than money? Stuff. You can request an item instead of cash, and will usually get a unique piece of equipment you can't find anywhere else, based on whoever your fence is!
Tier 8
Lunar Mastery - Spending so much time around moons has really had its effect on you - namely the way it's given you wild magic powers that defy the expectations of normal mortals. You are now are able to attempt applications of "Lunar Manipulation" based on deftness. Your control of this power is not strong enough to destroy, create, or move the entirety of a moon all by yourself, but you can absolutely do things such as manipulate moon rocks, manipulate moon light, and manipulate tides.
Tier 9
Moon Lasso - The most powerful tool in a Moon Thief's arsenal. Once per three missions, you may use a lasso that will automatically stretch to snugly fit around the moon of your choice. This lasso causes the moon you've grabbed to ignore the gravity of the planetary body it's orbiting, making it slightly easier to haul. However, keep in mind you'll still need an appropriate amount of force to actually haul said lassoed moon. The lasso is guaranteed not to break from the stress of pulling the moon, but can be broken by other forces.
Tier 10
Lunar Thievery (Unique Bonus) - Moons. You no longer need to constantly keep contact with your target moon after initiating this ability. It can only be ended by you, if you're knocked unconscious, if you're put into critical, or (obviously) if you're killed. You still must spend an action channeling this spell to progress it, but once the spell is initiated you do not need physical contact to do so. You must still be in the same universe or within half a mile of the moon to do this.
Lunacy Badge (MAXXED) - What the actual fuck is wrong with you dude, like seriously. You gain +X/4 to luck where X is equal to your tiers in this class.
Tier 7
Lunar Fence (Bonus) - Money is great, but you know what's better than money? Stuff. You can request an item instead of cash, and will usually get a unique piece of equipment you can't find anywhere else, based on whoever your fence is!
